Damming Independent Report for Campaign Committee

The FixŌhauWall Campaign Committee met on 1 April 2026 to review the latest independent scientific and engineering findings on the Wall. 

These reports essentially confirm that the wall is significantly underperforming its design intent, in terms of both the extent of water entering Rotoiti via holes, and the potential for catastrophic failure of wall sections.

The data is being coordinated and updated over the coming weeks ahead of seeking further engagement with Bay of Plenty Regional Council. 

The committee will continue to provide community updates as this critical process advances.
